Built-in Strategies

Quantum Trader includes several pre-built strategies you can use immediately or customize.

SMA Crossover

Section titled “SMA Crossover”

Classic trend-following strategy using moving average crossovers.

Logic:

  • Buy when fast SMA crosses above slow SMA
  • Sell when fast SMA crosses below slow SMA

Default Parameters:

  • Fast Period: 20
  • Slow Period: 50

Best for: Trending markets, longer timeframes

RSI Mean Reversion

Section titled “RSI Mean Reversion”

Contrarian strategy based on overbought/oversold conditions.

Logic:

  • Buy when RSI drops below oversold threshold
  • Sell when RSI rises above overbought threshold

Default Parameters:

  • RSI Period: 14
  • Oversold: 30
  • Overbought: 70

Best for: Range-bound markets, mean-reverting stocks

MACD Signal

Section titled “MACD Signal”

Momentum strategy using MACD histogram crossovers.

Logic:

  • Buy when MACD crosses above signal line
  • Sell when MACD crosses below signal line

Default Parameters:

  • Fast Period: 12
  • Slow Period: 26
  • Signal Period: 9

Best for: Identifying trend changes, momentum shifts

Bollinger Band Breakout

Section titled “Bollinger Band Breakout”

Volatility-based strategy using Bollinger Band touches.

Logic:

  • Buy when price touches lower band
  • Sell when price touches upper band

Default Parameters:

  • Period: 20
  • Standard Deviations: 2

Best for: Mean reversion, volatility plays

Using Built-in Strategies

Section titled “Using Built-in Strategies”
  1. Go to Strategies > New Strategy
  2. Select Use Template
  3. Choose a built-in strategy
  4. Customize parameters if desired
  5. Save with a new name
